Nothing new on the site today, but we had a busy-ish week here. So in case you missed it:
- There was a townwide-yard sale last weekend.
- The Society of St. Vincent de Paul spoke to us about their work.
- The Board of Selectmen touched on a number of topics...
- ...including 40B, which Jeff Raymond wrote about earlier this year.
- In opinion, we also saw the return of the Naffblog and Scenes From the Second Parish examined our digital footprint.

Community Calendar:
- The Millbury Public Library holds a Halloween Makeup Workshop from 3:00pm-5:00pm today. Space is limited, email Theresa Boulrice for more information.
- Movie night fundraiser at Millbury High for the Junior High, tonight at 6:00pm.
- Tomorrow, the Library hosts Learn to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse, from 11:30am-1:30pm. Space is limited, email Ann Dallair for more information. I'm told there will be crossbows.
- Monday, the Library holds Mad Scientists Club, beginning at 3:30pm. Registration required, email Theresa Boulrice.
- The Library is also hosting The Virtual History of Halloween, a program over Zoom on Monday evening. For information on how to attend, contact the library.
- Pumpkin carving at Unos at the Shoppes on Tuesday evening, beginning at 4:00pm. No word on whether the pumpkin innards will end up on the pizza.
- The Freedom Quilters of Millbury are holding a Craft Fair on Friday, October 29, at the Minney VFW Post, beginning at 5:00pm.
- After you buy some crafts, go see RearView Mirror at the St. Charles, starting at 8:00pm.
- Next Saturday, October 22, Millbury Credit Union hosts a trunk or treat beginning at 9:00am.
- Also next Saturday, the Historical Society Museum at Asa Waters Mansion will be open from 9:30am-12:00pm.
- Additionally, Dave Dwinell of Millbury and of WWF fame will appear at Asa Waters Mansion to discuss his book Ringman, sponsored by the Friends of the Millbury Public Library. That event begins at noon.
